The Gadsden Times (1867 - )
AncestryLibrary.com is a new service being offered by the library which houses census records for all 50 states for 1790 – 1930. The database also consists of family history files and marriage records.
Heritage Quest Online is available for home access using a library card. With this database patrons can access census records, county histories, revolutionary war pension records and much more.

Government Documents

The Gadsden Public Library has been a Federal Depository Library since 1963. It is one of only three libraries within the state that have this distinction. Through its affiliation with the Federal Depository Library Program, the library has full access to the total catalogue offered by the United States of America Government Printing Office. It is also an affiliate of the Alabama State Data Center, which is a network of libraries, economic development centers and academic entities that share valuable demographical information released through the United States Census Bureau.
